'My name is Laurenza. I am Queen of this world.' -Laurenza, Series I, Chapter 1

Bio: Laureza is the young Queen of Dalimoor, and the first Queen to be part human. She was born to the human, Richello Rendemal, and the Spirit, Windsong Faye. Laurenza inherited the Malaphaescite from her mother and became the Oracle of Spirits, though her parents did not tell her because they thought she was too young to know at the time. Laurenza's older brother Li tried to convince their parents to use the Malaphaescite powers for an unknown reason. This caused the King and Queen and Li to fall out, eventually leading to Li being banished from Dalimoor.

Laurenza was a selfish child who would get angry because her parents were always busy with royal affairs. She felt they did not spend enough time with her. Richello and Windsong hired Tifanel to look after Laurenza, but she found this to be a poor substitute for her parents. Azinder, the Black Mage of the Demon Fleet, saw the dark emotions that lurked inside the young Laurenza, and decided that they could be used to the Fleet's advantage. He forced his way through the Divine Protection and convinced Laurenza that her parents were the definition of unfair, and that the best way to deal with them was to kill them. And she did. Azinder thought that Laurenza would be easier to manipulate with her parents out of the picture, however, she was too young to reach her full potential so he vowed to return for her when she was older.

Laurenza soon regretted the decision to murder her parents, as this left her to rule Dalimoor alone, with only Tifanel as company. She wanted to find something to replace the void that the loss of her parents had left inside her. With the help of a crystal ball, she scoured the Universe for a man that would give her true love, love that she was missing from her family. Laurenza soon found that many men refused to be uprooted from their lives to act as her 'knight in shining armour.' She then sent out word that she required men to be her warriors, without disclosing the true reason why they were wanted. They only found out that they were to be her lovers, or to force other men to be her lovers, after they had agreed to join with her. Laurenza named her band of warriors the 'Inner Circle,' or 'The Circle' for short. Members of the Circle included Tifanel, of course, Vallisto; Garin; Arkun; Falos and Kuja. With the exception of Tifanel, it is known or assumed that Laurenza had a relationship with each of these men.

This brings us closer to the present day. Laurenza's latest crush was on Levanté Wildfire, King of Fuschia and Orca. When she requested Levanté to join her, he adamantly refused as he was married with children, not to mention several years older than her. Laurenza and her warriors then decided to try and convince him by force. Unfortunately, Levanté and his own warriors were too powerful and it was Laurenza who ended up defeated. This caused her to seek out a new warrior that would help add force to her Circle. This is when she met Thorn Thorizas. Thorn and Laurenza quickly fell for each other, perhaps too quickly, as they married very soon after meeting. Their relationship did not last long, due to interventions from Ares, and old flames for Kuja being rekindled. During this time, Azinder returned to attempt to use Laurenza's Malaphaescite power to end the Hell Demon-Fleet Demon war. Fortunately, this plot was foiled by Thorn and the others. With the help of a few spells from Thorn and Kuja, the Malaphaescite was removed from Laurenza and destroyed.

Laurenza had a hard time getting over Kuja after he left her for Thorn, so she left the castle temporarily to live in Mirendal, the next city from Dalin. Here she met Connor Reese and dated him for while. She had some adventures in Mirendal and made new friends. However, after Connor cheated on her, she returned to the castle, with her faith in men pretty much destroyed. She became strong friends with Red, and soon after, they fell in love.

During their adventures on Palamoor, Laurenza and the others met one Chiara Faye. After travelling together for a while as simply friends, the Spirits informed them that Chiara was Laurenza's long-lost half-sister. It seemed Windsong was as fickle with men as Laurenza used to be.

Laurenza is a pretty young woman with shiny, raven black hair that is wild and untidy. Her eyes are blue like the sky. She likes to wears long cloaks and short dresses. Laurenza is kind and caring. Although sometimes she comes across as being slightly childish, she is actually quite mature. She tries to be strong-minded, but too often she is driven by her emotions. Laurenza could do with a little more self esteem, as she often does not have enough faith in herself. Despite her initial formality and superiority during the early days, she is now a close and solid friend to all in the castle.
