Long ago, the Luneblanche and the Cielnoir were battling each other in what seemed like an endless war. To try and defeat each other, both sides brought fourth two mighty warriors to fight in a final duel. The Cielnoir's warrior was Malaphaera. She was defeated, but her soul was sealed away in the Malaphaescite and passed down through the generations until it reached a suitable vessel for reincarnation. This just happened to be Ana. Malphaera had French roots, as displayed in her speech. She recently was revived by Li and she possessed him, but she was defeated. The gang finally destroyed all traces of her after killing her Spirit Beast form that was sealed in Chiara's shard.
