The first Dark Angel of Hell, Ares was only created to kill and destroy. Though she has been known to seduce others, she only seeks sexual pleasure from these relationships. She has always been close to Lucifer, but she did lead the revolt against him in the Revokian ages. The Revokian ages soon finished when Lucifer commanded that all Dark Angels be stripped of their powers. Rather than make up with Lucifer and get her powers back, Ares fled to Dolasia and set up home in a forest with fellow Dark Angels Scorn and Red. Soon after meeting Thorn, she planned to sacrifice him to Lucifer in return for her powers back, and after doing so she returned to Hell.

After working for Lucifer for another thousand years, she met her death at the call of a raven. However, she used her spirit to control Thorn and ruin his friendships, merely for fun. The gang destroyed her spirit, and then her mind shortly after when it haunted the castle.

There is no part of her that exists, apart from the memory of her, which was brought to back to life in Palamoor. Natica used her essence to reawaken Ares from Thorn's memories, providing her with a physical form and a soul. She has little power left, but has a special technique which transforms her into a gaseous-like form, protecting her from harm and allowing her to attack at fast speeds. This new Ares is much more rational than the old, and is eager to be a productive member of the group.
